PANDA website
Description
PANDA is dedicated to supporting the mental health and well-being of new, expecting and growing families. Through a range of information, services and programs across Australia they help new and growing families to navigate their way to better mental health.
The core service PANDA provided to people in need was a phone-based helpline. The helpline was being overwhelmed, with people who needed support but also those who might have been served better through another new channel. To alleviate this pressure on the helpline, PANDA wanted to investigate a new website, together with new online services and resources.
Results
We created a new digital experience that enables those suffering mental duress to discover support and resources with freedom. Services, content architecture and design decisions were explored through research and a human-centred approach:
Content is restructured around users and the symptoms they are experiencing.
A design system that fosters a shared language which is consistent, predictable, learnable and engaging.
Refreshed colour palette that can invite harmony and diffuse anxiety.
A new mental health diagnostic which enables users to better understand the severity of their symptoms and care pathways beyond the helpline.
Accessible design achieving WCAG 2.1 & ADA compliance.
